An original US Navy Issued period jacket of WW2 veteran Ralph Charles Whittmann (1924 - 2014), gunner on merchant ship, who toured in New Guinea, Philippines, and Australia. This jacket originated from his estate in Berwyn, IL. He was born in Oak Park, IL. The photo is cropped and 5 x 3 1/2 inches as a complete piece and you will receive it as well. The document is for reference only and is from his job application in the 1950s. Great provenance. Estimated to fit a 38-40 individual with slight upper build. Wearable condition with some fading to the outer, rectangular repair to lower front, tears on lining under cuffs, tears near neck and holes mostly center as pictured, tears to arm lining most notably on the left inner shoulder area with one replaced unoriginal plain button on bottom as pictured.
