The Lunar Module "Orion" is photographed from a distance during Apollo 16 extravehicular activity at the Descartes landing area. The RCA color television camera mounted on the Lunar Roving Vehicle is in the foreground. I the upper left corner of the picture is a portion of the LRV's high-gain antenna. From the first release of Apollo 16 Lunar Surface Extravehicular (EVA) Photography. An original chromogenic 10" x  8" print on Kodak fiber-based paper bearing the "A Kodak Paper" watermark on the verso. From the library of Homer E. Newell, space scientist and NASA executive. Newell joined NASA in 1958, and was successively assistant director for space sciences (1958-1960), deputy director of space flight programs (1960-1961), director of space sciences (1961-1963), associate administrator for space science and applications (1963-1967) and finally to the third ranking position at NASA as associate administrator of NASA (1967-1974).
