Original Albumen photograph mounted on board (size of board is 22.5 x 26.5cm), condition very good clear image blind stamp W. Gray N.Y. Found various photos on net from 1882 to 1918. when applied to board there is some minimal creasing, and tiny edge nick top. But overall a very clear photograph. The bridge was started in 1869 and opened in 1883, unable to find a date but before 1899 as found a photograph taken from same vantage place but noticed at least one newer building. Also found another similar from the 1880's , so this is from the 1880's to 1899, so guess this is c1890. Interestingly title below by person who 1st owned it and put it on the board (that was within an album) put/titled it Bruckland Bridge, New York. It seems that at this time (before 1900) locals called it by different names. In this image you can see the washing lines with clothes on, all the old sail boats docked up, and lots of steam tugs and a few small sailboats on the river. A rare chance to purchase such a good rare image in such good clear detail of the buildings.
