Volume V only. Second edition, regarded as the best edition. 247pp. Ex-library with usual stamps, labels, etc. Light scattered foxing. With 65 colour plates, all checked and present with accompanying tissue guards (some lightly foxed). Dark green cloth with blind decorative borders on boards surrounding two birds in water (gilt on front board, blind on rear board). Gilt lettering and decoration on spine, slightly dulled. Some wear to spine extremities; small loss at top of front joint; class mark near spine foot. Binding tight. Used - Acceptable. Fair ex-lib hardback in green cloth. Hardcover. Zustand: Fair. First Thus. 12mo. Volume 5 only. A good reading copy. No date but probably late 1860s. Red cloth cover with black stamped decoration and gilt titling. Spine browned, with faded titling, cloth split along cover edges but still attached, loss to spine top. Cover corners bumped with cloth to top front corner hanging off.
