Antique map, titled: 'Map of the Course of the Rhine from Mentz to Cologne; and of the Course of the Maine and the Lahn', Map of part of Germany, showing the course of the Rhine from Cologne to Mainz, past Koblenz. Also shows the branch named the Main, to Frankfurt and further, and also the Lahn branching off near Koblenz. Handcoloured steel engraving on wove (velin) paper. Description: From Ackerman's 'Rpository of the Arts', 1820. The colouring on this map is sparse - several small scattered spots depict mineral deposits and historical landmarks. Artists and Engravers: Made by W. Bartlett after C.E. Ulrich. Condition: Very good, given age. Two original folds, as issued. Some offsetting from where the print was folded.
