Legend with key to the numbers. Copper engraving and etching on verge type hand laid paper with watermark. Description: This plan originates from: 'Geldersse Geschiedenissen .' by A. van Slichtenhorst, published ca. 1654.Artists and Engravers: The author Arend van Slichtenhorst was born and worked in Arnhem. He studied law. The carthographer of this map is Nicolaes van Geelkercken (1585-1656), Dutch cartographer and surveyor. Condition: Excellent; general age related toning; some light staining from handling. Some remains of matting at top. Storage location: B24-13 The overall size is ca. 14.8 x 11.8 inch.
