Description: This original old antique print / plate originates from: 'La France et ses Colonies', by M. Vuillemin and published in Paris by J. Migeon in 1884. This plate engraved by Artus.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Alexandre Vuillemin' after an anonymous artist. Alexandre Vuillemin (1812-1880) was a cartographer and an book editor based in Paris, France. Despite a prolific cartographic career, much of Vuillemin's life is shrouded in mystery. Engraving on wove (vellin) paper. Anonymous. Very good, given age. Small stains in margin. Faint offsetting from the opposite page.
