"'Wien in Oesterreich [�]'Etching / engraving on hand laid (verg�) paper. Watermark: unclear watermark. Sheet size: 26,8 x 17,7 cm. (10,6 x 7 inch). Image size: 25 x 15,7 cm. (9,8 x 6,2 inch).Engraved by Joh.Stridbeck junior, the plates where published by Hans Georg Bodenehr, and acquired by the latter after the death of Stridbeck Sr. in 1717. The name "Joh.Stridbeck junior" is than replaced by Bodenehr. This print originates from: From: "Atlas Curieux oder Neuer und Compendieuser Atlas" by Gabriel Bodenehr. First published Augsburg: Bodenehr, 1704. Kilian later published this plan in his 'Kleiner Atlas' (1757).Made by 'Johann Stridbeck junior' after an anonymous artist. Gabriel Bodenehr, a German map maker and member of a famous engraver and publisher family of Augsburg, was born 1673. His main work was "Atlas Curieux" first published 1704.Condition: Very good, given age. Light foxing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
