Copperplate engraving/etching on hand laid (verge) paper. Sheet size: 40,2 x 29 cm. Image size: 39 x 27,5 cm. Source unknown, to be determined.Made by Jacob Folkema after C. Pronk. Jacob Folkema (1692-1767) was a Dutch designer and engraver. He studied under Bernard Picart in Amsterdam. He worked on Royaumont's Bible, and Ruysch' Anatomy, among other works. He was also an excellent mezzotint engraver. Cornelis Pronk (1691-1759) was a Dutch draughtsman and (miniature) painter.Condition: Good, given age. A few minor crinkles. Paper slightly browned.
