This map is an early small scale cartographic gem. It covers a lot of territory in a small map. In the North it covers the Tennessee River and Muscle Shoals to the west reaching the Mississippi River.The state of TN is shown. It follows the Mississippi down to New Orleans and the Delta. Prominent is the Yaszoo River.Across the bottom it picks up Mobile and eastward. The Tombigbee joins the Alabama river and flows into Mobile Bay. The map travels as far east as the Chatahooche River. In the north can be found the Tennessee Company and the Mississippi Company. This is a very nice small map created in the infancy of the United States.
