From a Dutch ed. of Captain Cook's voyages: 'Reize rondom de Waereld door James Cook [.].', 4to ed. published by Honcoop, Allart and van Cleef in Leyden, Amsterdam and The Hague, from 1795.Made by J.S. Klauber after an anonymous artist. Joseph Sebastian Klauber (1710-1768) was a German miniaturist and engraver of mostly religious subjects from Augsburg. He was a pupil of Antoine Birckhaert in Prague.Condition: Very good, given age. Original folds from binding. Left bottom margin remargined, missing from binding. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
