This is the map to accompany the 1916 annual report of the Colorado & Southern Railway Company. It includes the jointly owned Triality & Brazos Valley Railway, which runs from Houston to Dallas/Ft. Worth. The Colorado & Southern Railway runes from Orin Junction Wyoming to Dallas Ft. Worth with sidetracks in northern Colorado out to Leadville. The railway was important to the mines of Colorado and Wyoming as its connection into Houston assured that its ore was not landlocked. The railroads of the southern plains are shown in great detail. In Texas the railway is sidetracked to Spur and Abilene. This pre-WWI map is important for its depiction of the connection to the oceans of the world.
