This is a handsome map printed in various colors to signify multiple attributes of the landscape of Oregon. The blue of the Pacific Ocean highlights the yellow of the landmass that is Oregon and Washington and other states. The Green use of the national forest layout within the state also highlights the yellow landmass. This all sets the background for the color-coded road network. Red indicates a road is paved or covered with bituminous treatments. Yellow indicates roads that are rock or gravel. Blue indicated roads that are improved earth works. Road connections are present in all areas other than the southeaster eighth of the map.On the verso there are several maps with attention paid to Portland in two insets. There is a regional map of the Northwest. There is also an inset map on national highway king back east as far as Indiana and Mississippi. Route 66 is shown in its entirety. This is a very nice map that was distributed to exposition goers at the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition. Good having several small marginal tears, minor chipping.
