An excellent example of the first printing of Williams' map, still connected to its folder, recently protected under shrink-wrap with backing foamcore, with a photocopy of the front cover mounted at upper left. 24.5 x 30". Appears to have been opened very little, no obvious repairs, very clean with strong colors, only mild sunning along some folds, no obvious fold separations. Inset at lower right of the western half of the country including California and the Gold Region. Kansas and Nebraska have not yet been delineated, the locations of various tribes noted throughout the West.
