This uncommon map of northeast Asia extends to include the Kamchatka Peninsula, Sakhalin, part of China and the Japanese island of Hokkaido (Yesso or Jesso), with some coastline of the fictional Company's Land as reported by De Vries in 1643. On the Sea of Kamzatka is a note, Whenever the word Ostrog is found it signifies a Town pallasaded round to keep out the Wild Beast.
