This early map of South Carolina was hand colored at the time of publication. With 27 counties in place on the cusp of a transportation revolution. this map shows a web of roads in service in 1824. The Saluda Canal, Santee Canal and Charleston and Hamburg, all appeared within the following decade. Fair condition having a spot underneath the title. Please see the picture.
