Large folding map of the Dolphin's voyage in the North and South Atlantic. This is the map only; it does not include the accompanying report. Map measures 47" x 49" and is housed in brown boards. Map has moderate toning, multiple closed tears at folds and a 6" tear where bound to boards. The survey took place from 1851 to 1852 and was commanded by Lieutenant Samuel Phillips Lee of the U. S.
