BOSTONLarge antique hand coloured steel engraving after a painting by John William Hill.Engraved by Charles Mottram.Dated 1857 within the plate, but possibly a later restrike as Mottram's original plates are known to have existed beyond the 19th. Description/Condition: image dimensions 38.5" x 24.5" (98cm x62cm). Frame 46.5" x 33.5" (118cm x 85cm).Please view image with postcard to gain a better appreciation of size. A large and impressive hand coloured steel engraving (needs to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated). Excellent condition, just one tiny speck of foxing to sky area. Mounted, matted and glazed in old Hogarth style frame. Frame good, just the occasional small chip. Ready to hang.Due to size (and glass) collection recommended. Delivery possible.
