Date: 1896 Size: 8.25 x 11.5 inches About The Poster: This print by Alexandre Theophile Steinlen (1859-1923) was is from the French songbook by Paul Duelmet, Chansons de femmes (Enoch & Cie and Paul Ollendorff, 1896). Delmet's music sheets are accompanied by poetry from various writers (Henri Maigret, Armand Sylvestre, Jules Méry and others) and 15 prints by Steinlen - one for each song. This particular piece is for the cover sheet. The book is rare as only 50 copies were printed. This is number 15 (see second picture for this item). We are selling all 15 prints separately, please see our inventory for the others, they are all stunning and testify to the artists' great illustrating talent. (please note that on this print only there is a discolouration on the far right margin, roughly one inch from the top, extending roughly three inches down the margin.).
