This set of 2 prints is complete with its descriptive text and an additional lithograph showing Dumbarton and mistrass Deans, Archibald and others. Crayon type lithograph on a vellin type paper with a thin sheet of japanese paper attached to it, where the actual print is printed (chine colle). Description: These prints originate from: "Vues pittoresques de l'Ecosse.", Aug. Wahlen et A. Dewasme, Bruxelles 1827. A beautifully illustrated travel book on Scotland. The fine lithographed plates in this work show views of the lakes, waterfalls, abbeys and castles of Scotland, like Berwich, Dunbar, Roslin, Linitihgow, Stirling, Doune, Campbell, Cairndow, Argyle, Dunstaffnage, Oban, Rothwell, Dunbarton, Crookstone, etc., also including some fine views of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Lanark.
