Rare prints, Winkler knew only 2 other sets.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Johan Michael Mettenleiter' after own design. Johan Michael Mettenleiter (German; 1765-1853) came from a very artistic family in Schwaben. He was involved in lithography as early as 1808. An important artist in bookillustration in Munich in the early 19th. Century. Condition: Very good, given age. Uncut examples. Right margin edges slightly browned. Remains of binding/attachment to carrier to the rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
