An amazing Black Americana folk art oil on cardboard painting measuring approximately 9 7/8 x 7 15/16 inches and 11 5/16 x 9 3/8 inches in its entirety. Last origin was Washington DC area and prior origin was Florida. A black hair is pictured in the painting under a loupe. Nails date this to early 19th century. Nails appear original and have not been hammered recently. Some water staining on top and and in very good condition for its age.
