Watercolour / gouache painting on wove (vellin) paper. on paper. Size in cm: The overall size is ca. 28 x 17.8 cm. The image size is ca. 15 x 12 cm. Size in inch: The overall size is ca. 11 x 7 inch. The image size is ca. 5.9 x 4.7 inch.Antique drawing, untitled. Hunting scene. Four men (one on horseback) defend an ox-driven cart from two tigers just outside city walls. Originally Persian/Mughal/Indian minatures originate from books/diaries and were often removed to be collected in albums. Later recolouring of these items is common. Miniatures are still made today and regularly old paper with manuscript writing is used today to partly paint over with images painted after the historic original scenes depicting scenes of court life, hunting scenes and royal figures. We feel this item is such item. We have assessed this item as a 20th. c. painting on 16-18th. c. paper with original manuscript writing. Indian minature painting. Artists and Engravers: Anonymous.Condition: Very good, given age. Attached to carrier sheet. Margins of the sheet a little damaged (not affecting the image). We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
