Antique Master Print, titled: 'Le chat voleur.' - A cat stealing a wig. The owner pursues the cat with tongs and rapier, while a woman holds out a bowl of food. Very good example of this very early lithograph. Ref: IFF 2. Lithograph on wove (vellin) paper. Made by 'Adrien Victor Auger' after own design. Adrien Victor Auger (1787-1854?) was one of the very lithographers in France. Very good, given age. Ample margins. Margins a little browned.
