Two men in conversation are in the background. Etching/engraving on hand laid (verge) paper. Description: Book illustration.Artists and Engravers: Made by S. Fokke after an anonymous artist. Simon Fokke (1712-1784) was a Dutch designer, etcher and engraver, born in Amsterdam. He was a pupil of J.C. Philips, and mainly engraved book illustrations. Condition: Excellent, given age. A small stain in the top margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
