Antique Master Print, titled: 'Lanfranc.' - Portrait of the surgeon Guido Lanfranco of Milan. Famous 13th. Century physician and surgeon. Provenance: Anonymous (Lugt 2899) Engraving on laid paper. Made by 'Ravenet' after 'Antoine Humblot'. We were not able to establish which member of the Ravenet family made this. Antoine Humblot (ca. 1720-1758) was active as artist and publisher. Good, given age. No margins, cut to the plateline. Remains of paper from previous attachment on rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling.
