Samuel Howitt (1756-1822) was an English painter, illustrator and etcher of animals, hunting and horse-racing scenes who worked in both oil and watercolour. He was the brother in law of the famous caricaturist Thomas Rowlandson. Condition: Very good, given age. Large margins, some light surface soiling.
