Antique Master Print, untitled. Architectural frame with three coats of arms. The lower two shields are sided by unicorns, and a unicorn is featured on the lower right shield. The crowned eagle from the upper shield is repeated above it. Etching on hand laid paper. Watermark: A fish crowned with a lily. Description: From the set architectural designs "Architectura und Austheilung.", which contains 12 grotesque plates and 2 portraits. State: Second state of 2. Ref: Hollstein 17. Wendel Dietterlin / Dieterlin the Elder, also called Wendel or Wendling-Grapp (1550-1599) was an Austrian painter, architect and etcher from Pallendorf. He was active in Strasburg and Stuttgart. Condition: Very good, given age. Large margins. A wormhole in the lower right margin corner. Marign edges a little soiled and with small stains. A small stain in the lower edge of the image.
