Watermark: Coat of arms with a French Lily and monogram GVH (Gillis van Hoven, ca. 1690). Description: Source unknown, to be determined. State: Second state of 2. Ref: Hollstein 851.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Pieter Schenck' after an anonymous artist. Pieter/ Petrus Schenk / Schenck the elder (1660-1711/1713), a German engraver and cartographer active in Amsterdam and Leipzig. One of his specialties was the mezzotint. Condition: Good, given age. Margins cropped close to the platemark. All margins extended using contemporary paper. Some creasing and a small tear in the lower edge. Small stains in the margin edges.
