Antique Master Print, titled: 'General Ginckle.' - This print shows General Ginckle. Godard van Reede, 1st earl of Athlone, baron of Aughrim, lord of Ginkel, born in the Netherlands as Baron Godard van Reede (Amerongen; 1644-1703) was a Dutch general in the service of England. Stipple engraving on wove paper. Description: Published in 1799.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'J. Chapman' after an anonymous artist. John Chapman (c. 1770-c. 1823) was an engraver in London who produced plates between 1792 and 1823, mostly in a stipple manner, including some printed in color. Condition: Good, given age. A crease in middle of print and some in lower margin. Trimmed irregular. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
