The image size is ca. 8.1 x 6.1 inch.Antique Master Print, titled: 'De Commando-brug, van Amsterdam naar 's Hage.' - (The Command-bridge, from Amsterdam to the Hague.) The Amsterdam burgomaster Joachim Rendorp (1728-1792) was called the 'Bridgemaker.' This print satirizes his and the seven main cities and knights collapsing support for the Prince of Orange to remain in command of The Hague in 1786. A carriage with the Prince's coat of arms is pulled by 9 horses and drops into the deep as the bridge collapses. In the background the profile of Amsterdam. Accompanied by a verse in 2 columns below. Dutch Patriot period (1780-1795) satirical print. Ref: FMH 4727 Artists and Engravers: Anonymous.Condition: Very good, given age. Some light soiling. We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
