Antique Master Print, titled: 'Joan Ferdinand Prokoff' - Portrait of the sculptor Ferdinand Maximilain Prokoff. Engraving on hand laid paper. Description: Source unknown, to be determined.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Johan Balzer' after own design. Johann Balzer (1738-1799) was a Bohemian active in Prague as a publisher and engraver. He was a student of Michal Rentz and several Academies in Germany. His sons Anton (1771-1807) and Johann Karl (1771-1805), who were both engravers, as well as his brothers Mathias and Gregor. His prints, especially after Grund were very popular. Condition: Very good, given age. No margins, cut at or near plate marks.
