Antique Master Print, titled: 'Sexta pars. Het Seste Deel.' - Decorative title page to the sixth part of a series of engravings. The design features three large shells, two putti and a garland around a central title shield. Engraving on hand laid paper. Description: No. 101 from a series of figure studies, published by Frederik Bloemaert c. 1640. State: First of three. Ref: Roetleksberger T142, I (3). IconClass 73C11.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Frederik Bloemaert' after 'Abraham Bloemaert'. Frederik Bloemaert (Utrecht ca. 1614-1690) was a Dutch printmaker and draftsman. Abraham Bloemaert (1566-1651) was a Dutch painter and etcher/engraver. He was one of the 'Haarlem Mannerists', but shifted towards a more Baroque style around 1600. Condition: Very good, given age. A few small tears in margin. A light crease in middle of the print. A faint stain in the lower right of the image. Some small stains in the margins.
