Antique print n. 64, titled: 'Als Jesu liebster Freund, Lazarus war verschieden'. Original optical print, illustrating the resurrection/raising of Lazarus by Christ. It shows Christ on the left, with Lazarus being helped out of his grave by one of the followers of Christ. Handcoloured etching/engraving on a verge type handlaid paper. Description: Published as part of a series by the Heirs of Johann Peter Wolff of Nurnberg, ca. 1720.Artists and Engravers: Johann Peter Wolff was a publisher in Nurnberg (1655-1711). The dates of the heirs' activity are unknown. Condition: Fair, given age. Two folds (one of which as issued, the other doubtful). Creases in top and bottom margins, a long vertical crease in the right half of the plate, paper damage in the top right corner (backed with contemporary paper and acid-free archival tape).
