Thomas Percy (c.?1560 - 1605) was a member of the group of provincial English Catholics who planned the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605. Original etching / engraving on a vellin type paper. Description: This attractive original old antique satirical print / plate originates from: 'Portraits, memoirs and characters, of remarkable persons, from the reign of Edward the third, to the Revolution. Collected from the most authentic accounts extant', by James Caulfield, London 1813. This work consists of descriptions of remarkable events and objects, and lives of eccentric individuals.Artists and Engravers: Author: James Caulfield (1764�1826), British author and printseller. This plate was etched / engraved by Adam. Condition: Excellent given age. General age related toning and occasional light foxing. Paper edges ocassionally a bit frayed and chipped.
