Portrait of The Lady Meutas, who belonged to the court of Henry VIII in England. Stipple engraving on vellin type paper. The colouring is done on the copper plate (a la poupée), so the colours are actually printed. This is done in a very delicate manner. The result is of rarely equaled quality! The colour paper chosen mimics the paper used by Holbein on the original drawings.
