The image size is ca. 3.7 x 5.7 inch.Antique print, titled: 'Alliantie.' - (Alliance.) This allegorical print shows the alliance between the Netherlands / Batavian Republic and France, through an angel attaching two shields onto a tree. Published in Amsterdam by C.J. Roos. Dated 1795. Hand numbered in old writing 364 at bottom right.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Lambertus Antonius Claessens' after 'I. Kuyper'. Lambertus Antonius Claessens (Antwerp, 1763-1834) was a Flemish etcher and stipple engraver. He was a student of the Antwerp Academy and Bartolozzi. He worked in Antwerp, London and Amsterdam from 1795-1808 and then in Paris from 1809-1834. He worked for L.G. Portman.Condition: Good, given age. In 2018 he decided to further develop his personal collection through 'Pictura Prints'. Peter has a background in design and landscape architecture and holds a degree in paper restauration. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
