Antique print, untitled. An architectural detail of a cathedral. It shows a decorated corner piece on a stone balcony railing, possibly somewhere along the tower. Probably the Domkerk / Cathedral of Utrecht, The Netherlands. Etching and drypoint on hand laid paper. Watermark: Van Gelder en Zonen. Description: Signed by the artist in pencil in the lower right corner.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'E. Adriani-Hovy' after own design. Elisabeth Adriani-Hovy (Amsterdam, 1873-1957, Utrecht) was a Dutch artist, etcher and watercolourist as well as lithographer. She was a student of Maurits van der Valk. Condition: Very good, given age. Some creasing in the margin edges top and left. A small tear in the lower left margin (closed with acid-free archival tape). A few small dark stains in the right margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
