Handcoloured aquatint engraving with etched linework on wove (velin) paper. on paper. Size in cm: The overall size is ca. 46.4 x 36.9 cm. The image size is ca. 35.4 x 28.3 cm. Size in inch: The overall size is ca. 18.3 x 14.5 inch. The image size is ca. 13.9 x 11.1 inch.Original antique print, titled: ''Bachelor''s Hall, plate 5'', (''The scent is breast high, ''tis a burst from the find''), showing a pack of hunting dogs and several hunters on horseback around their quarry: a fox. From a series of total 6 hunting plates, titled 'Bachelor's Hall', a humorous portrayal of bachelor fox hunters.Artists and Engravers: Engraved by an unknown engraver (possible George Hunt) after F.C. Turner. Francis Calcroft Turner (c. 1782-1846) was a British painter of mainly sporting and equestrian subjects.Condition: Very good, given age. Surface damage on the rear, minimally visible on the front (as a crease). Small stains in the margins. General age-related toning and occasional light stains from handling. We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
