Description: This attractive original old antique print / plate originates from: 'Naturgeschichte des Thier-, Pflanzen- & Mineralreichs in colorirten Bildern nebsterläuterndem Text.', with introductions by G.H. von Schubert, published in Esslingen, Germany by J.F. Schreiber, c. 1878. These plates were intended for 'Anschauungsunterricht für die Jugend in Schulen und Familien.' (translation: Visual learning for youth in schools and families.)Artists and Engravers: Author: Gotthilf Heinrich von Schubert (1780-1860) was a German physician and naturalist. Condition: Excellent, given age. Paper in general more browned towards paper edge as common. Original middle fold, as issued. Paper separation in the top and lower middle fold (not affecting image).
