Engraving on laid paper. Watermark: Top of a coat of arms Made by 'Crispyn de Passe' after an anonymous artist. Crispijn / Crispyn de Passe (Dutch; 1565-1637) was a very active printmaker. He started engraving in Antwerp and was later active in Cologne and Utrecht. Being highly active he and his family produced a large amount of prints, including a group of very finely engraved portraits. Good, given age. Small margins, cut to the image on the right side, some browning. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
