The image size is ca. 7.2 x 10.4 inch.Antique print, titled: 'Cornelis de Wit.' - Portrait of the statesman Cornelis de Witt. These portraits are found in editions of P.C. Hooft, Bor, or Jean Le Clerc. Published between 1670 and 1730. Ref: FMP 6161.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Bernard Picart' after own design. Bernard Picart (1673-1733) was a French painter and engraver. He received his art education from his father, Etienne (1632-1721), from Le Brun and Jouvenet at the Royal Academy. His talents developed rapidly: at the age of sixteen he gained honors at the Academy of Paris. His prints in the "French" taste were very popular. His way of working was also very influential for the book illustration in the Netherlands.Condition: Good. Ample margins. Attached to carrier sheet. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
