With inset of Custom House in London. Orginial handcoloured engraving on hand-laid paper. Description: This original antique map was published in 'Thonson's New General Atlas.' in Edinburgh 1817.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'John Thomson' after an anonymous artist. John Thomson (1777-c1840), was a Scottish cartographer from Edinburgh, celebrated for his 1817 New General Atlas, published by himself in Edinburgh, John Cumming in Dublin, and Baldwin, Cradock, and Joy in London. Condition: Good, given age. Original fold, as issued. Stain in lower part of middel fold. Creases near middle fold. Edges reinforced on rear.
