The image size is ca. 3.1 x 4.4 inch.Antique print, untitled. Hidden by a bush, a Daphnis is suckled by a goat. The surprised shepherd Dryas pulls the bush aside to show the Grotto of the Nymphs. From an edition of Daphnis and Chloe, published around 1800.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Velard' after 'Prudhon'. Velard. We have not been able to further identify this 18th/19th century French engraver. Pierre-Paul Prud'hon (1758-1823) was a French Romantic painter and draughtsman.Condition: Very good, given age. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

We ship worldwide and package our items meticulously. We carry an umbrella insurance policy. Our shipment rates are based on shipments up to 1 kg. For heavier shipments we will contact you with a quote. Currently our surcharge for international shipments over 1 kg is 9,14 euro / kg. In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL. Expedited shipping or shipment through another carrier is available on request at a possible surcharge.
