Antique print, titled: 'Dorica.' - Design for a Doric door. Engraving on laid paper. Description: Copy published by Frederik de Wit in Amsterdam after this very popular set of designs. Ref: Orn. Cat. II 2774-2816.Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after 'Simon Bosboom'. Simon Bosboom (1614-1662) originated from Embden in Germany. He worked as architect and stonemason in Amsterdam. His book concerning building and the five colomes proved to be very popular. Condition: Good, given age. Ample margins. A stain in the top right of the image. Lower margin a little soiled and with two creases. Left margin with small binding holes (as issued).
