Antique print, titled: 'H. Ioannes Baptista bidt voor ons [.].' - St. John the Baptist baptising Christ. Nice example of an indulgence granted by a church in Antwerp. Engraving on laid (verge) paper. Made by 'Peter Balthasar Bouttats' after own design. Peter Balthasar Bouttats (1666-before 1756) worked in Antwerp as engraver. He was one of the twenty sons of the publisher Frederik Bouttats. Good, given age. Small margins, old folds. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. The overall size is ca. 19.3 x 13.5 cm.
