Antique print, titled: 'Basset a jambes torses, le Levrier.' - Depiction of two types of canine. The Crooked-legged basset hound and the Greyhound. From an edition of "Histoire naturelle generale." by Buffon. Dog. Engraving on wove paper. Made by 'G. Pierron' after 'Edouard Travies'. We could not find any further information concerning G. Pierron. Edouard Travies (* 1809) was active in Paris as a draughtsman of birds and insects. Very good, given age. Small margins.
