Antique print, titled: 'The young falconer.' - A young man with two dogs at his side and a falcon on his wrist stands beside his catch of a heron. Etching / engraving w/ hand colouring on wove (vellin) paper. Description: Published by D. Appleton & co. New York. Artists and Engravers: Made by 'C.W. Sharpe' after 'F. Taylor'. Charles William Sharpe (Birmingham; act.1848-1883) was an English engraver. He exposed at the Royal Academy from 1858-1883. Condition: Very good, given age. Small tear in lower margin, not affecting image. Print has been in matting, some discolouring on print. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling.
