Antique print, titled: 'Vue de la Montagne de Sapins a Biljoen.' - (View of the Mountain and firs of Biljoen) This print shows a landscape with firs and deer on 'Biljoen en Beekhuizen' near Velp, the estate of baron Johan Frederik Willem van Spaen. Etching on hand laid (verge) paper. Description: a series of six etchings depicting parts of the estate 'Biljoen en Beekhuizen'. This series was made shortly after the opening of the estate by commission of Van Spaen. Provenance: Rare The name of architect J.G. Michael is defaced from the print in the lower right corner.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Christian Henning' after own design. Condition: Excellent, given age. Small tear in top margin, closed using acid free archival tape. Some paper erosion in the lower right where the name was removed. Margins cropped to the platemark.
