Antique print, untitled. A woman begging with a plate. Very nice contemporary coloring. Ref: After L. 498 Engraving on laid paper. Made by an anonymous engraver after 'Jacques Callot'. Jacques Callot (Nancy 1592-1635) was a famous baroque printmaker and draftsman from Lorraine / present day France. He was active in Italy employed by Cosimo II de Medici until 1621. He was very influential and popular with his prints. Very good, given age. Large margins. Some foxing. Remains of paper from previous attachment on rear.
